January 2026: Starting the Year Strong
As we step into a new year, January has been a month of laying strong foundations. This season has allowed us to prepare our team and strengthen our systems, enabling us to serve communities with excellence, integrity, and care in the months ahead.
At the beginning of the year, our focus is on staff training and capacity building. As an organization that values imparting knowledge to the community, we also believe it is vital to equip our own staff with the skills and understanding necessary to fulfill the work we are called to do—faithfully and responsibly.
January Highlights:
Staff Training and Development
Our team participated in training to develop Monitoring and Evaluation tools for Redeeming Zoe programs. This helps us measure impact more effectively and ensures we are being good stewards of what has been entrusted to us. Strengthening these systems builds accountability, transparency, and trust—allowing your support to go further.
Financial Literacy for Staff
We invested in financial literacy training for our staff, equipping them with practical tools for personal stewardship. When our team is empowered in this area, they are able to model healthy financial habits and pass this knowledge on to the communities we serve, multiplying the impact beyond the classroom.
Club Kinabuhi Community Care
January also included food pack distribution for Club Kinabuhi families and the sharing of their annual family portraits. For many families, professional family photos—and even a simple photo frame—are not common or prioritized due to daily needs. These portraits affirm dignity, strengthen family bonds, and create a lasting reminder of love and unity. It has become a cherished tradition that the families look forward to every year.
PRAYER REQUESTS:
Pray for wisdom and unity among our staff as they continue to grow in skill, stewardship, and service throughout the year.
Pray that the families of Club Kinabuhi would feel encouraged, valued, and strengthened as they care for one another.
Pray for our upcoming outreach in Mindanao, where we will be serving an Indigenous Peoples (IP) community group. Please pray for safe travel, open hearts, cultural sensitivity, and meaningful relationships as we partner with the community.
WHAT’S TO COME:
Next month, we will be conducting a WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) program in Mindanao, serving an Indigenous Peoples (IP) community group who are among the original inhabitants of the Philippines with rich cultural traditions.
Thank you for standing with us in prayer and partnership. Your support continues to make this work possible.
