From Cebu Streets to Conference Seats!
This July, we continued our mission to protect, empower, and bring hope to children through our outreach efforts in Cebu. With the support of our dedicated volunteers and partner churches, we were able to provide not only practical help through hygiene kits and snacks, but also valuable lessons on child protection.
Here's a quick look at what we accomplished together this July:
We had the joy of reaching out to children in Cebu City and Toledo City through our church partnerships. A total of 70 kids this month joined us for a meaningful time where we distributed hygiene kits, provided snacks, and taught our booklet lesson “I Can Strong Smart and Safe” to help equip them with knowledge on staying safe. A total of 23 adult volunteers were reached. Volunteers not only helped facilitate the activities but also received training on children’s rights and practical tips on how to care for and protect the kids they serve. These simple yet meaningful efforts continue to strengthen our commitment to building safer, more empowered communities for the next generation.
In our monthly Club Kinabuhi gathering, we continued to care for both the physical and spiritual needs of the families. As part of our regular support, we distributed food packs to each participant. This month’s teaching focused on the importance of prayer and the kind of heart we can bring before the Lord—reminding them that they can talk to God anytime, anywhere. A special highlight was the celebration of one participant’s birthday, where we surprised her with a cake and joyful moments shared with the group. This year, we’ve made it our goal to honor every child’s birthday with a cake, making each one feel seen, valued, and celebrated. These simple gestures remind the children that they are deeply loved—not just by us, but by their Heavenly Father.
Redeeming Zoe had the privilege of participating in the Asia Region Anti-Trafficking Conference 2025 in Chiang Mai, Thailand. We were grateful for the opportunity to send Ivy, our Manager of Operations, to represent our work in this vital space, alongside leaders and advocates from across Asia. The conference was a powerful opportunity to stay informed on the latest anti-trafficking trends, build strategic connections, and learn directly from survivor leaders and fellow organizations working on the frontlines. We’re committed to applying the insights and partnerships gained to strengthen our prevention and protection work in the Philippines.
Every story, every smile, and every lesson shared this month was made possible because of your support and prayers. Let’s continue to press forward together—for the children, for their future, and for lasting change.
