Stories of Hope and Protection This September

This September, Redeeming Zoe continued its mission to protect children and empower communities through awareness, education, and meaningful partnerships.

Here are our wins this September:

  • Redeeming Zoe conducted a child protection and internet safety training from our new partner church, Full Gospel Christian Church in Bogo City. The session focused on responsible online behavior, cyberbullying prevention, and the dangers of peer pressure in digital spaces. Through interactive discussions and real-life scenarios, almost 70 youth were equipped to make wise choices and become advocates for safe and respectful online communities. This partnership marks another important step in expanding our reach to more young people in northern Cebu, ensuring that they are both informed and empowered in today’s digital world.

  • Our Club Kinabuhi program continues to provide steady support for the youth and families we serve. This September, we carried out our monthly food pack distribution, ensuring that families have access to basic needs. Alongside this, our team also conducted house-to-house visits, checking in on each family’s well-being and offering encouragement and guidance where needed. These consistent efforts reflect Redeeming Zoe’s commitment to holistic care—supporting not just children’s safety and growth, but also their families’ overall stability and hope.

We remain steadfast in our vision of a nation where every child is safe, valued, and free. Each training, partnership, and outreach effort brings us closer to that goal—one empowered youth, one strengthened family, and one transformed community at a time.

WHAT’S TO COME:

  • We are excited to share that Redeeming Zoe has established a new partnership with the Local Government Unit (LGU) in Bukidnon Province, Mindanao. This partnership opens doors for upcoming collaborations focused on child protection training and community-based interventions. This expansion reflects our commitment to reach more communities across the Philippines, working hand in hand with local leaders to prevent child exploitation and create safer environments for children.

PRAYER REQUESTS:

On the evening of September 30, 2025, a powerful magnitude 6.9 earthquake struck off the northern coast of Cebu, causing widespread damage to homes, infrastructure, and heritage buildings. Over 70 lives have been lost and hundreds more injured.

We humbly ask for your prayers and intercession:

  • For comfort and healing for the families grieving the loss of loved ones.

  • For protection and provision for those whose homes were destroyed or severely damaged.

  • For strength, wisdom, and safety for local responders, rescue teams, and church partners as they serve in dangerous and challenging conditions.

  • For peace and assurance, especially for communities shaken by aftershocks and uncertainty.
